Senior Full-Stack Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

If you're a senior engineer who excels at technical ownership, strategic thinking, and solving intricate challenges, this position offers a unique opportunity. You'll develop critical product features while guiding technical strategy and ensuring sustainable, long-term growth. The technical choices you make will have direct consequences for the product and its user base, granting you both creative freedom and accountability for results.

The products you'll contribute to are redefining educational experiences:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-inspired learning interface.
  • TeachTales: Captivates learners through tailored, immersive storytelling that enhances understanding.
  • TimeBack: Functions as an intelligent learning assistant, embedding itself into existing applications to provide proactive student guidance.
  • Athena: Deploys AI-created videos and assessments to produce quantifiable learning improvements.

Your role involves steering the technical advancement of these platforms, guaranteeing they remain scalable, maintainable, and resilient over time. Working in close partnership with product stakeholders, you'll convert broad requirements into concrete technical architectures and navigate intricate problems without compromising quality. The decisions you make will define the product roadmap and affect how thousands of learners engage with content.

We emphasize deliberate planning and architectural foresight. Our AI-driven methodology handles repetitive work, allowing you to concentrate on strategic decisions and creative problem-solving. You'll enjoy substantial autonomy, with genuine influence over product direction and a mandate to prioritize enduring stability and scalability.

If you're prepared to spearhead the technical transformation of our SaaS offerings and harness generative AI to explore new frontiers, we're eager to connect.

What you will be doing

  • Feature Development: Architecting and delivering new capabilities with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and sustained product value.
  • Requirement Engineering: Partnering with product leadership to clarify requirements and guiding technical conversations to ensure feature alignment with overarching product objectives.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing product health, optimizing performance, and proactively detecting and addressing potential issues.
  • Technical Design: Executing high-stakes technical choices that directly shape user experience and product growth potential.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Jumping between transient initiatives or pursuing the latest technology fads.
  • Supporting internal IT infrastructure or contract projects that lack meaningful user engagement.
  • Spending excessive time in meetings or wrestling with monotonous infrastructure concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
  • At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
  • Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.
