Senior Applied AI Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Educational technology companies today confront a critical obstacle: creating learning content that simultaneously engages learners and addresses individual educational requirements. The marketplace is saturated with one-size-fits-all solutions that lack effectiveness, making differentiation essential. Evidence shows that educational resources failing to resonate with learners or accommodate diverse learning approaches result in dramatic declines in engagement, leaving a void in meaningful educational outcomes. This burden intensifies for teachers, who must deliver quality personalized instruction while facing limited time and resources.

LearnWith.AI directly addresses this challenge by leveraging artificial intelligence to transform how content is produced. Our focus extends beyond conventional AI tooling—we engineer AI-powered systems that produce adaptive, learner-centered educational materials. Envision an intelligent knowledge system functioning as a "Second Brain" for disciplines such as History or Science—a sophisticated repository that generates compelling, responsive content on demand. This strategy distinguishes us within a competitive landscape and expands what AI can accomplish in educational settings, delivering learning that is more accessible, impactful, and engaging.

This position differs from typical AI engineering assignments. Your work won't be confined to writing code or developing theoretical AI constructs. You'll spearhead efforts to reimagine student learning by architecting and deploying AI-powered workflows that deliver genuinely personalized educational experiences. This opportunity is not suited for those seeking routine assignments or gradual refinements—it's designed for driven innovators ready to apply advanced technology to create measurable real-world change.

As an essential contributor, you'll architect AI-powered educational platforms capable of reshaping the learning environment. You'll employ large language models as specialized domain authorities to construct contextual knowledge frameworks and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring our AI produces content that is substantive and effective. If the prospect of using AI to fundamentally change education excites you, and you're prepared to own initiatives that challenge the limits of current capabilities, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Developing Self-Optimizing AI Content Generation Architectures – Agentic workflows that produce educational materials and continuously enhance performance through evaluation loops and systematic experimentation.
  • Constructing Evaluation Datasets & Experimental Frameworks – Carefully assembled test sets (input → desired output mappings) and scoring mechanisms that measure, benchmark, and refine the quality of AI-produced content.
  • Engineering Context Packs – Organized knowledge structures that supply domain-specific grounding, enabling systems to produce accurate, superior-quality educational materials spanning multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities

  • Enable LearnWith.AI to distinguish itself competitively by producing engaging, personalized educational content powered by AI systems

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience embedding LLMs within software products (basic chatbot development or use of simple coding assistants does not qualify)
  • Track record of deploying production systems where self-optimizing agents drove iterative system evolution (e.g., autonomous tool design, reward function refinement, etc.)
  • Proven experience building evaluation or regression datasets that power self-improving systems and establishing quantifiable success metrics
  • Hands-on experience with contemporary agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
