Principal AI Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Educational technology companies today struggle with a persistent issue: creating content that simultaneously engages learners and responds to their individual requirements. The marketplace is saturated with standardized, low-impact learning platforms, making differentiation increasingly difficult. Evidence shows that educational resources failing to resonate with learners or accommodate diverse learning preferences result in sharp declines in engagement, leaving a void in meaningful educational outcomes. This burden falls heavily on teachers, who must deliver quality, individualized instruction while operating under significant time and resource limitations.

LearnWith.AI directly confronts this challenge by leveraging artificial intelligence to transform how educational content is produced. Our focus extends beyond merely developing AI applications—we are engineering AI-powered infrastructure that produces dynamic, learner-centered educational resources. Envision an intelligent knowledge system functioning as an AI-enabled "Second Brain" for disciplines such as Science or History—a sophisticated repository capable of generating compelling, responsive content on demand. This forward-thinking strategy distinguishes us within a competitive landscape and expands what AI can accomplish in education, delivering learning that is more attainable, impactful, and engaging.

This position diverges from conventional AI engineering work. Your responsibilities will transcend routine coding or developing theoretical AI constructs. You will spearhead efforts to reimagine student learning by architecting and deploying AI-powered processes that deliver genuinely customized educational experiences. This opportunity is not suited for those seeking routine assignments or gradual refinement—it demands visionary problem-solvers ready to apply advanced technology toward tangible, meaningful outcomes.

In this capacity, you will architect AI-driven educational solutions with the capacity to fundamentally alter the educational environment. You will employ LLMs as specialized domain authorities to construct contextual knowledge structures and intelligent tutoring systems, guaranteeing that our AI produces content that is both substantive and transformative. If the prospect of applying AI to revolutionize education excites you and you are prepared to own initiatives that expand the limits of innovation, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Developing Self-Improving AI Content Generation Systems – Agent-based workflows that produce educational materials and continuously enhance themselves through evaluation loops and systematic experimentation.
  • Building Evaluation Sets & Experiment Harnesses – Carefully constructed datasets (inputs → anticipated outputs) and scoring mechanisms employed to assess, benchmark, and refine the quality of AI-generated educational content.
  • Architecting Context Packs – Organized knowledge structures that deliver domain-specific grounding and empower systems to produce precise, high-caliber educational content spanning multiple subjects.

Key responsibilities

  • Help LearnWith.AI distinguish itself in the marketplace by producing compelling and individualized educational content through AI-powered solutions

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience
  • Professional experience integrating LLMs into a software product (building a chatbot or using simple coding assistants does not meet this requirement)
  • Experience deploying a production system where a self-improving agent drove iterative refinement of the system itself (e.g., created its own tooling, optimized its own reward function, etc.)
  • Experience developing evaluation or regression sets that drive self-improving systems and establishing quantifiable success metrics
  • Experience working with modern agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
