This position functions as a player-coach: half your time spent hands-on developing sophisticated features, half dedicated to mentoring and empowering your team. You define quality expectations, introduce architectural patterns, conduct code reviews emphasizing instruction, and foster engineer development. Team results fall under your accountability, extending beyond personal contributions.
Lean team structure, substantial ownership, minimal administrative overhead. Your focus is technical leadership; people management responsibilities belong elsewhere.
