Integration Engineer   $15,000 USD/year

Description

You deliver complete customer solutions, not isolated components that may never see production use. You thrive in the challenging middle ground: ambiguous specifications, inconsistent APIs, structured data, authentication sequences, migration utilities, and the pivotal moment when a customer's end-to-end workflow finally executes. If you prefer clearly defined tickets with minimal customer interaction, this role is not suitable.

Quark enables enterprise organizations to orchestrate intricate content workflows. In this position, you will translate customer requirements into dependable implementations on the Quark platform: system configurations, REST API connections, webhook integrations, SSO/SAML setups, XML/XSLT transformations, data migrations, and workflow automation. The work is technical, customer-interfacing, and results-driven. A compelling demonstration is insufficient. The solution must function under real-world conditions, satisfy acceptance criteria through testing, and be documented clearly enough for others to maintain.

AI is an integral part of the execution process. You will leverage tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate delivery, and you will develop practical AI agents, Skill files, or comparable automation resources that eliminate repetitive tasks. Over time, your contribution will evolve from executing individual implementations to establishing reusable delivery frameworks that accelerate future customer deployments and improve reliability.

If you seek hands-on integration work where AI capabilities, structured content systems, and customer outcomes converge, submit your application now.

What you will be doing

  • Convert customer requirements into technical execution plans, acceptance criteria, and structured delivery tasks
  • Configure Quark workflows, structured content architectures, business rules, integrations, and external data source connections
  • Develop and validate REST API, webhook, SSO/SAML, XML/XSLT, migration, and script-based automation deliverables
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues by examining logs, payloads, authentication sequences, transformations, and configuration interdependencies
  • Produce concise runbooks, handover documentation, and walkthroughs that enable customers to manage the deployed solution

What you will NOT be doing

  • Developing unrelated core product capabilities with no direct customer implementation objective
  • Executing vague tickets without clarifying requirements, constraints, and acceptance criteria
  • Implementing temporary workarounds without conducting root-cause analysis, validation, and creating reusable documentation
  • Delivering generic training materials that leave customers reliant on undocumented institutional knowledge
  • Delaying for weeks to perfect a solution before demonstrating tested working progress

Key responsibilities

Deliver dependable Quark customer implementations that integrate systems, content workflows, and users to achieve measurable customer value.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on software engineering, systems integration, implementation, or technical consulting experience
  • Experience developing or troubleshooting REST API and webhook integrations
  • Working knowledge of authentication concepts such as SSO or SAML
  • Practical proficiency with XML and XSLT or an equivalent structured-data transformation technology
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for migration, automation, or workflow implementation
  • Regular practical use of AI developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
  • Experience building at least one useful AI agent, Skill file, agent definition, or equivalent automation artifact
  • Fluent in written and spoken English for customer discovery, requirements clarification, and technical handover
  • Availability for at least 4 hours per day overlapping with business hours for US customers and 4 hours for Europe.

Nice to have

  • Experience with content management, publishing platforms, or structured content workflows
  • Experience creating customer-facing technical documentation, runbooks, or implementation handover materials
  • Experience converting ambiguous customer requirements into end-to-end integrations, migrations, or workflow automations
