IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires in-person attendance at our Austin, Texas campus.
Traditional schools instruct students on what to think. This position focuses on teaching execution.
Alpha is creating a new model of high school—one where students don't attend lectures or memorize facts. Instead, they build, ship, communicate, and develop. They launch projects, experiment with ideas, and cultivate practical skills most adults never acquire. Your responsibility is ensuring they execute effectively and to a high standard.
You will engage directly with high school students as they launch businesses, manage projects, and build the confidence, communication skills, and competence necessary for success beyond the classroom. You are not here to deliver theory. You are here to guide execution. You will establish rigorous standards, maintain accountability, and challenge students to create work that meets real-world expectations. As the program expands, your impact grows; your workshops integrate into the school's core operations, and the students you mentor become evidence of what this approach delivers.
This position suits individuals who have accomplished something significant outside academia—launched a product, cultivated an audience, worked in a startup environment, or delivered results in a demanding setting—and wish to channel that expertise into developing the next generation. If you seek a conventional teaching position, this isn't it. If you aim to influence how driven teenagers think, operate, and perform, this is your opportunity.
If you've built something meaningful in your career and want to dedicate your time to guiding motivated teenagers toward their full potential, this is the place. Apply now
