Campus Operations Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person role at our Dorado campus.

If you want a role where you are genuinely essential, this is it.

Alpha is building a new standard for K–12 education. That only works when campus operations are calm, reliable, and trusted by families. This role exists to make that happen. You are the person who ensures that when students arrive each day, everything just works.

You will own all non-academic operations on campus. That means being the primary point of accountability for parent communication, student safety, facilities, logistics, and day-to-day problem solving. When something breaks, escalates, or creates friction for families or staff, you handle it. You don’t pass it along.

This is not a narrow administrative role. It requires judgment, composure, and strong service instincts. You will interact with parents daily, coordinate across teams, manage vendors and systems, and keep the campus running smoothly even when the unexpected happens. Your work directly affects parent trust, staff focus, and student well-being.

If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy real responsibility, and want your work to have visible impact every single day, you’ll feel at home here.

What you will be doing

  • Serve as the primary owner of campus operations, ensuring daily flow runs smoothly with minimal disruption
  • Manage parent-facing communication around operational issues with clarity, speed, and professionalism
  • Oversee student safety protocols, incident response, access control, and coordination with leadership as needed
  • Handle facilities, logistics, vendors, and on-site projects to keep the campus functional and organized
  • Own first-line technology administration for student devices and campus systems, resolving issues quickly

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching classes or managing curriculum
  • Sitting in a purely administrative or paperwork-only role
  • Passing operational problems to other teams instead of resolving them
  • Working in a predictable or low-urgency environment
  • Operating with narrow scope or limited ownership

Key responsibilities

Ensure smooth, safe, and reliable campus operations that build trust with families and allow students and staff to focus on learning.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (field not specified)
  • 1+ years of experience in office coordination, site operations, facilities support, or similar roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Comfort with basic IT troubleshooting, device management, and account administration
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in high-pressure situations
  • Available to work on-site in Dorado, Puerto Rico or willing to relocate
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship
