Instructional Designer   $60,000 USD/year

Description

Imagine students completing a full day's worth of academics in two concentrated hours, then spending their afternoons launching podcasts, painting murals, or mastering back-handsprings. This is the 2-Hour Learning model at the heart of Alpha Anywhere—and you will be the strategist maintaining and advancing this system.

From any location with reliable internet access, you will convert large volumes of AI-generated performance data into precise, timely interventions that guide every learner toward 90% mastery and higher. When learners encounter obstacles, you will join live coaching sessions, remove the barrier immediately, and restore their momentum with renewed confidence. At the same time, you will analyze detailed student performance streams, identifying concealed patterns that unlock children's capabilities and engineering next-generation AI solutions capable of doubling learning velocity.

Parents observe rising self-confidence, students accelerate their learning speed twofold, and you witness the tangible results of every insight you generate, every AI process you streamline, and every question you pose. Prepared to convert data into acceleration fuel for young learners? Continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Creating precise Academic Data Reports and performing structured analysis to identify issues, detect anomalies, and initiate corrections within 48 hours
  • Facilitating immediate-response support calls and delivering post-assessment coaching to eliminate blockers, distinguish knowledge gaps from mistakes, and sustain student motivation
  • Assessing and integrating new educational applications and materials while engineering AI/LLM prototypes to advance learning methodologies and address specific challenges
  • Collaborating with leadership to optimize tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor advances

What you will NOT be doing

  • Attending endless meetings or delivering generic presentations with no connection to measurable outcomes
  • Grading assignments, drafting lesson plans, or administering traditional educational programs—AI and innovation power our approach
  • Working exclusively at the strategic level without execution or becoming confined to repetitive tasks—this role demands hands-on engagement and agility

Key responsibilities

Advance student learning outcomes via AI-powered analysis and immediate academic insights, evidenced by improved metrics such as 2× learning velocity, application engagement, lesson understanding, response precision, and diminished negative learning behaviors across the Alpha Anywhere network.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven experience in data science or a related position, education, EdTech, or a student-support function combining analytical and interpersonal elements
  • Competence in Google Sheets data analysis (lookups, pivot tables, filtering)
  • Strong emotional intelligence, excellent communication abilities and a child-centered coaching approach
  • Experience creating workflows and automations using AI
  • At least 1 year experience working directly with K-8 students
  • Available to work during required core hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Nice to have

  • Foundation in learning science, educational theory, or proven success enhancing outcomes through data-informed strategies
  • Experience with Generative AI, prompting methods, and foundational coding skills (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for querying AI APIs
