Description

Are you equally comfortable analyzing the intricacies of a Shakespearean sonnet and deconstructing the phonetic components of a word? Consider applying that command of language and literature alongside advanced AI to transform how millions of students learn language arts. At 2 Hour Learning, we're not merely shaping the future of English education—we're engineering it into an adaptive, immersive learning environment.

We're looking for a forward-thinking professional to spearhead our work in reshaping English and Language Arts instruction through sophisticated data analysis, pioneering AI integration, and comprehensive subject mastery. Your objective? To double the rate at which students acquire language skills and literary understanding, spanning foundational phonics through sophisticated literary critique.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're redefining K-12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI-powered learning platform is reshaping student achievement, allowing learners to master content at twice the pace of conventional education. We're not refining the existing model; we're constructing an entirely new one, backed by compelling evidence. Students on our platform routinely earn 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, show growth exceeding two years on annual MAP assessments, and surpass their own expectations of what's possible.

What you will be doing

  • Identifying patterns within student reading and writing data through AI, converting these discoveries into innovative approaches that transform English language teaching and literary comprehension.
  • Building AI-driven tools that adjust to diverse learning preferences, rendering grammar intuitive, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary interpretation reachable for learners across all proficiency levels.
  • Creating flexible learning sequences that adjust in real-time, shepherding students from foundational phonics through complex textual analysis, guaranteeing each individual advances at the most effective rate.
  • Working alongside a varied team of teachers, language specialists, and AI professionals to expand the possibilities of language instruction, directly shaping the educational experience of thousands of learners.
  • Converting classic and modern literature into interactive, AI-enriched learning experiences that both educate students and spark their enthusiasm for reading and composition.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional English curricula or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic advancement in language arts instruction and learning within our accelerated framework.
  • Operating independently—you'll be integrated into our collaborative team advancing the cutting edge of AI in English education.
  • Concentrating exclusively on theoretical concepts—each AI model you create will have direct influence on how students comprehend and employ language competencies in practical contexts, all within the 2 Hour Learning system.

Key responsibilities

Generate quantifiable improvements in student English and Language Arts performance through AI-powered analysis and execution, as evidenced by a 2x acceleration in skill acquisition across multiple domains (reading, writing, grammar, literature analysis) and grade levels, all within our transformative 2 Hour Learning model.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience teaching English/Language Arts or developing ELA curriculum, with demonstrable impact on learning outcomes
  • Basic coding abilities in any programming language
  • Experience designing, implementing, or using AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning using the LLM APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights from it
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex English/Language Arts concepts to diverse stakeholders in a professional setting
