This is the 2-Hour Learning model that drives Alpha Anywhere—and as Lead Data Scientist, you will sustain and advance this system.
From anywhere with reliable internet, you will convert streams of AI-generated performance metrics into precise, actionable interventions that guide each learner toward 90% mastery and higher. When learners encounter obstacles, you will lead live coaching sessions, remove barriers in the moment, and restore their momentum with renewed clarity. At the same time, you will analyze rich data flows to identify hidden trends that reveal student potential, then design cutting-edge AI tools capable of accelerating learning outcomes.

What you will be doing
- Creating highly precise Academic Data Reports and performing methodical analysis to identify problems, detect outliers, and initiate corrective action within 48 hours
- Leading urgent "rescue" calls and facilitating post-assessment coaching to eliminate blockers, distinguish knowledge deficits from mistakes, and sustain student engagement
- Assessing and deploying new educational applications and content while prototyping AI and LLM solutions to advance learning methodologies and address targeted challenges
- Collaborating with leadership to refine tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor continues to develop
What you will NOT be doing
- Spending time in prolonged meetings or producing generic presentations with no visibility into actual impact
- Grading assignments, drafting lesson plans, or administering traditional educational programs—AI and innovation are central to our approach
- Working exclusively at the strategic level without execution or being confined to repetitive tasks—this position is hands-on and adaptive
Key responsibilities
Elevate student learning outcomes through AI-powered analysis and immediate academic feedback, as evidenced by improved indicators such as 2× learning velocity, application engagement, lesson mastery, answer precision, and diminished negative learning behaviors throughout the Alpha Anywhere network.
Candidate requirements
- Proven experience in data science or comparable role, education, EdTech, or student-support position combining analytical and interpersonal elements
- Competence in Google Sheets data analysis (lookups, pivot tables, filtering)
- High emotional intelligence, effective communication abilities, and a coaching approach suited to working with children
- Track record building workflows and automations using AI
Nice to have
- Foundation in learning science, educational theory, or proven success enhancing outcomes via data-informed strategies
- Familiarity with Generative AI, prompting methods, and introductory coding skills (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for interacting with AI APIs
