Learning Experience Designer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Are you equally adept at analyzing the intricate layers of a Shakespearean sonnet and deconstructing the phonetic components of a word? Picture applying that linguistic and literary mastery alongside advanced AI to transform how millions of students develop language and literature proficiency. At 2 Hour Learning, we're not merely shaping the future of English education—we're designing it as an immersive, adaptive learning journey.

We're looking for a visionary leader to drive our mission of transforming English and Language Arts education through sophisticated data analysis, pioneering AI integration, and comprehensive subject matter knowledge. Your objective? To double the rate at which students acquire language skills and literary analysis capabilities, spanning from foundational phonics to sophisticated literary criticism.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're redefining K-12 education with proven outcomes. Our AI-powered learning ecosystem is reshaping student learning, allowing them to achieve subject mastery at twice the pace of conventional schooling. We're not refining the existing system; we're reconstructing it entirely, and our data validates its effectiveness. Students on our platform regularly earn 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, exhibit growth exceeding two years on annual MAP assessments, and surpass their own expectations of achievement.

What you will be doing

  • Identifying patterns in student reading and writing data through AI, converting these discoveries into innovative strategies that transform English language instruction and literary analysis.
  • Developing AI-driven tools that accommodate individual learning preferences, rendering grammar intuitive, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary analysis approachable for students across all proficiency levels.
  • Building dynamic learning sequences that adjust in real-time, shepherding students from phonics through complex text interpretation, ensuring each learner advances at an ideal rate.
  • Partnering with a multidisciplinary team of educators, linguists, and AI specialists to expand the possibilities of language education, directly shaping the learning experience of thousands of students.
  • Converting classic and modern literature into interactive, AI-enriched experiences that both educate students and spark their enthusiasm for reading and writing.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing traditional English curriculums or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic enhancement of how language arts are delivered and absorbed within our accelerated framework.
  • Operating independently—you'll be integrated into our collaborative team advancing the frontiers of AI in English education.
  • Concentrating exclusively on theoretical concepts—each AI model you create will directly influence how students comprehend and utilize language skills in practical applications, all within the 2 Hour Learning structure.

Key responsibilities

Lead quantifiable improvements in student English and Language Arts performance through AI-powered analysis and execution, as evidenced by a 2x acceleration in skill acquisition across multiple domains (reading, writing, grammar, literature analysis) and grade levels, all within our transformative 2 Hour Learning model.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience teaching English/Language Arts or developing ELA curriculum, with demonstrable impact on learning outcomes
  • Basic coding abilities in any programming language
  • Experience designing, implementing, or using AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning using the LLM APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights from it
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex English/Language Arts concepts to diverse stakeholders in a professional setting
