Instructional Designer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You've designed curricula, interpreted student performance metrics, and mastered Social Studies pedagogy across multiple grade bands. Now picture applying those skills alongside AI systems you architect yourself—LLM pipelines that produce instructional content, surface learning trends, and personalize educational pathways dynamically. At 2 Hour Learning, we're not simply reimagining education—we're pioneering how students engage with the world they inhabit.

We're seeking an educator who engineers AI solutions that transform how learners encounter history and geography—not through jargon, but via LLM frameworks, performance analytics, and materials that deliver results. Believe you can compress learning timelines and turn ancient empires or world regions into journeys as compelling as any modern discovery? This is your chance to revolutionize social studies instruction, building richer ties to our collective history and contemporary reality.

If you're a Social Studies authority prepared to architect the AI-powered future of learning, apply now.

What you will be doing

  • Leveraging AI to create interactive experiences that render historical episodes and geographic concepts concrete and unforgettable for learners.
  • Examining performance metrics to detect trends that shape adaptive learning routes, guaranteeing each student's path remains both compelling and productive.
  • Building advanced digital tools that animate historical personalities and world environments, from time-travel simulations to rich cultural immersions.
  • Partnering with a cross-functional group of educators and engineers to design breakthrough methods that redefine social studies teaching and learning.
  • Converting intricate historical and geographic ideas into accessible, engaging material augmented by AI-powered customization.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing conventional curricula or getting mired in bureaucratic tasks—this position centers on breakthrough thinking and measurable outcomes.
  • Operating on intuition—every content choice and strategic move you execute will be anchored in learner data and AI-derived findings.
  • Investing months in curriculum overhauls that might never launch—you'll harness AI to produce, validate, and refine materials in days rather than academic terms.

Key responsibilities

Drive accelerated mastery of social studies content for K-12 learners through AI-powered analysis, resource creation, and instructional strategy refinement.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
  • Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis using the LLM APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and inform content or strategy changes.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex Social Studies concepts for K-12 learners, with examples of measurable impact on student outcomes.
