Client Success Director   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Families who select Alpha already have trusted advisors across every domain of their lives. This is the relationship they haven't yet built.

You'll be the person they reach out to when uncertainty arises, when something doesn't sit quite right, or when they want to share a milestone they know you'll appreciate. You'll understand each family deeply enough to sense their needs before they surface—and you'll possess the judgment and composure to address what they bring with care, warmth, and seamless professionalism. Over time, you won't simply be affiliated with their child's education. You'll become woven into how they navigate this defining period of their family's journey.

That level of trust isn't built through protocol. It emerges from presence—steady, daily, unhurried. You'll be a familiar face at morning arrival and afternoon departure, at the evening gatherings that hold meaning, and in the unscheduled conversations that never appear on an agenda. You'll cultivate a community that families instinctively protect, where belonging feels natural and referrals flow from the quality of the experience itself.

Alpha is not a conventional school. Students complete their core academics in two hours daily using AI-powered applications, then dedicate the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and applied real-world projects. No lectures. No filler assignments. Top 1% outcomes nationally. The families who select it are investing in something they believe in—but conviction requires continuous support.

You'll sustain that dialogue with every family, through every question, for the entire duration of their child's enrollment. If the prospect of advocating for an unconventional model to discerning skeptics feels burdensome, this role won't suit you. If it sounds like the most compelling conversation you could engage in, read on.

What you will be doing

  • Own the connection with every family on campus—the evolving, deepening bond that ensures parents feel recognized, not merely attended to
  • Identify concerns before they surface as conversations, and address them with the tact and interpersonal skill that preserves trust
  • Maintain visible presence where families gather: morning arrival (7–9am), afternoon departure (2–4pm), evening parent gatherings, and select weekend activities
  • Develop a campus culture with authentic depth—programs, rituals, and interactions that make families feel they're part of something worth safeguarding
  • Foster parent champions naturally, delivering experiences so reliably excellent that referrals emerge as a matter of course
  • Sustain the dialogue about Alpha's AI-driven approach with families managing screen time concerns, skeptical relatives, and periodic uncertainty—not only at enrollment, but throughout their entire tenure on campus
  • Recognize when a family isn't aligned and manage that situation with the same care you apply to all interactions—preserving the community is integral to serving it
  • Establish the systems and routines this role demands in a setting where the framework is still taking shape

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing enrollment—that falls to the Admissions Director; your work commences when families commit and grows from that point forward
  • Operating from behind a desk—your visibility in the community defines the role
  • Adhering to standard 9–5 schedules—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening functions are integral to the position, not occasional requirements
  • Relying on administrative infrastructure, established protocols, or a complete team—you function with significant autonomy and create what's necessary
  • Approaching family relationships as accounts to be processed—this role rewards authentic engagement, not procedural adherence

Key responsibilities

Serve as the trusted anchor at the heart of every family's Alpha experience. Maintain their confidence through challenging moments, foster a community where belonging feels meaningful, and establish the circumstances where satisfied families naturally become vocal supporters.

Candidate requirements

  • Currently reside within commuting distance of one of these campuses OR willing to relocate within 60 days (preference for candidates with existing community roots): Scottsdale, AZ; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Lake Forest, CA; San Francisco, CA; Greenwich, CT; Bethesda, MD; New York City, NY; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; or Kirkland, WA
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • 5+ years in a relationship role serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropy, or any environment where discretion, warmth, and social fluency were as important as capability
  • Demonstrated ability to hold relationships through difficult moments with sophisticated families and emerge with trust intact
  • Natural presence and communication style that earns confidence quickly with affluent, high-expectation families—not polished in a way that feels performed
  • Personal familiarity with independent, private, or non-traditional education—professionally or as a parent—that gives you genuine standing when families question the model
  • Genuine belief in AI-powered education and the ability to carry that conviction authentically through years of parent relationships, not just the enrollment conversation
  • Availability for flexible hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening events 2–3x/month, and occasional weekend activities

Nice to have

Exceptional candidates will have at least one of the following:

  • Established connections within the local affluent community that would provide you with an immediate, organic presence on campus
  • Private school or independent school background with a proven record of family retention and community strength—not merely enrollment metrics
  • Experience managing high-stakes family dynamics where your judgment and discretion were the foundation for maintaining trust
  • A talent for designing experiences—gatherings, moments, settings—where people feel they're part of something worth defending
  • Prior startup or early-stage involvement where you created from the ground up and remained composed through rapid change
