What if every playful interaction could drive quantifiable gains in child development?

Alpha reimagines education far beyond conventional frameworks. Our PreK initiative integrates play-centered curriculum architecture with live developmental metrics — free from scripted lessons and bureaucratic checklists. You will craft adaptive learning experiences spanning all readiness areas, guide a team of Guides to execute them with both rigor and enthusiasm, and monitor concrete milestone advancement for each child in your program.

This role demands active, on-the-ground leadership. Approximately one-third of your time will be classroom-based — demonstrating facilitation approaches, observing interactions, and conducting alignment reviews. The remainder involves curriculum creation, coaching Guides toward explicit and quantifiable benchmarks, and maintaining transparent, research-backed communication with families. The outcomes of your work will be unmistakable: four-year-olds reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, Guides elevating their performance metrics consistently, and parents championing the program.

Coach the team. Shape the learning. Apply today.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct individualized and small-group coaching for PreK Guides, demonstrating techniques and recognizing quantifiable progress
  • Create and guide play-based learning sequences that integrate SEL, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, exemplifying excellence for your team
  • Assess and align Guide documentation on a weekly basis to ensure rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating calibration meetings that make milestone tracking transparent
  • Develop family communication materials and conduct team alignment meetings that synchronize priorities and uphold collective expectations for PreK readiness across campus

What you will NOT be doing

  • Adhering to inflexible lesson plans or compliance-focused protocols — you will create responsive, play-driven themes informed by live data
  • Delivering a predetermined curriculum dictated from leadership — you control quarterly and weekly instructional design
  • Operating without structured feedback mechanisms — coaching dialogues and calibration routines are embedded in your weekly rhythm
  • Overseeing K-12 learners engaged with app-driven platforms — this position is entirely devoted to early childhood, in-person, classroom-embedded work

Key responsibilities

Accelerate PreK readiness outcomes across campus by coaching Guides, ensuring program integrity, and fostering joyful, evidence-informed classrooms.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related discipline; Master's degree or specialized credentials preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years in early years education, early childhood development, or a related area
  • Direct experience facilitating groups of young children aged 3 to 5
  • Demonstrated success in designing and executing play-based educational programs or curricula that support developmental milestone achievement, such as Montessori approaches
  • No less than 1 year of experience coaching or supervising a team of educators with clear performance expectations
  • Background in composing written progress updates for families and facilitating team alignment sessions within an educational context
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to working onsite at Alpha's Austin campus, with relocation support available as needed

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of edtech platforms, adaptive dashboards, or digital observation tools utilized in early childhood environments
  • Background in behavior guidance methods and co-regulation practices for children ages 3-5
