Can intentional play environments drive quantifiable gains in early development?

Alpha's approach to early learning breaks from conventional models. Our PreK program integrates play-centered curriculum architecture with live developmental tracking — there are no scripted lesson plans or procedural compliance lists. You will architect flexible learning experiences spanning all readiness areas, guide a team of Guides to execute them with both rigor and warmth, and monitor concrete milestone achievement across every child in your cohort.

This position demands direct classroom involvement. Approximately one-third of your hours will be spent in learning environments — demonstrating facilitation approaches, observing instruction, and conducting alignment calibrations. The remainder focuses on curriculum architecture, coaching Guides toward concrete performance benchmarks, and delivering data-informed family communications. You will witness tangible outcomes: four-year-olds reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, Guides elevating quality metrics each week, and families becoming champions of the program.

Guide the team. Architect the learning. Submit your application.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct individual and small-group coaching for PreK Guides, demonstrating instructional methods and recognizing quantifiable progress
  • Architect and lead play-centered learning sessions integrating social-emotional learning, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, setting the standard for team execution
  • Audit and align Guide documentation on a weekly basis to ensure rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating calibration meetings that maintain milestone visibility
  • Develop family communication materials and convene team briefings to synchronize objectives and sustain collective focus on campus-wide PreK outcomes

What you will NOT be doing

  • Adhering to scripted lesson frameworks or compliance-focused protocols — you will build responsive, play-centered themes informed by live developmental data
  • Delivering predetermined curriculum distributed from leadership — you control both quarterly planning and weekly instructional design
  • Operating independently without structured feedback mechanisms — coaching dialogue and calibration routines are embedded weekly
  • Overseeing K-12 learners engaged in application-based instruction — this position centers exclusively on early childhood, immersive classroom facilitation

Key responsibilities

Lead campus-wide PreK readiness results by coaching Guides, maintaining program consistency, and cultivating joyful, evidence-informed learning environments.
