You'll oversee a team of VPs charged with maintaining 35+ premium campuses. Not through direct execution. Through system design, quality threshold establishment, and development of the people who execute them. Your success metric isn't personal output — it's whether the team achieves green status across every campus without requiring your input.
The operational framework doesn't yet exist. You'll create AI-first dashboards that identify issues before VPs need to search for them, frameworks that enforce quality standards without continuous oversight, and accountability architectures that enable VPs to manage 7+ campuses each without losing critical details. When successful, the indicators are clear: escalations diminish, audits return clean results, and the team operates independently.
The trajectory is defined. Year one is construction — dashboards, playbooks, vendor performance tracking systems, quality standards built from the ground up. After systems are operational and VPs function autonomously, the role evolves: portfolio-level CapEx strategy, team succession planning, and optimization decisions that elevate performance across all 35+ campuses simultaneously.
