Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you see disorder and immediately design the structure to fix it, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who progress rapidly, seek challenge, and are ready for genuine responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework that enables students to advance quickly and with confidence. We're looking for an operational builder who can transform a dynamic school day into a reliable, high-performance system—every transition, every handoff, every element executed precisely.

At our Austin location, you will be the steady force maintaining operational momentum: protecting time for concentrated learning, overseeing safe and orderly daily operations, and removing barriers so Guides can mentor without distraction. You will manage facility operations, provide frontline technology support, and lead community communications, building an environment where ambition is the standard and independence is deliberately cultivated. If you value clear expectations, decisive action, and measurable results, this work is designed for you.

Join us to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families experience the impact, and operational discipline is the foundation of everything we achieve.

What you will be doing

  • Executing the daily schedule with accuracy so 2-Hour Learning sessions begin punctually, remain undisturbed, and conclude effectively.
  • Managing first-tier technology support (device configuration, fundamental troubleshooting) and coordinating escalations with IT teams.
  • Ensuring a safe, organized campus: conducting drills, tracking incidents, supervising vendors, and maintaining facility preparedness.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and staff; resolving issues promptly and documenting outcomes.
  • Facilitating campus events—onboarding, milestone celebrations, supply logistics, and space coordination—so the site consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides manage student mentorship while you maintain the operational backbone.
  • Working behind the scenes in isolation; your role is visible and directly impacts student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-value tasks that do not enhance speed, safety, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that the campus environment remains safe, organized, and conducive to focus, enabling students and staff to prioritize learning and development rather than operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or similar high-touch service settings.
  • Composed under pressure; proactive troubleshooter capable of balancing competing demands without sacrificing precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT support tasks and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; available for on-site work in Austin, TX (visa sponsorship not available).
