Outdoor Program Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you instinctively map out systems when you see disorder, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who advance quickly, seek challenge, and thrive on genuine accountability. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework so students progress with speed and confidence. We're looking for an operator who can transform a dynamic school environment into a reliable, high-functioning system—every transition, every interaction, every element executed precisely.

At our Austin location, you'll be the backbone that ensures smooth daily operations: protecting time for concentrated learning, maintaining safe and efficient processes, and removing barriers so Guides can dedicate themselves fully to mentorship. You'll manage facility coordination, frontline technology support, and community correspondence, building an environment where ambition is expected and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear standards, decisive action, and measurable results, this role is designed for you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families recognize the impact, and operational precision is the silent foundation of success.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily schedule with accuracy so the 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain distraction-free, and conclude effectively.
  • Addressing initial technology requests (device configuration, routine troubleshooting) and coordinating handoffs to IT when needed.
  • Ensuring a secure, well-ordered campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor management, and facilities preparedness.
  • Engaging clearly with students, families, and colleagues; resolving issues promptly and recording key decisions.
  • Facilitating campus events—orientation sessions, program milestones, inventory and space coordination—so the environment consistently feels organized.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides own student mentorship while you manage the operational infrastructure.
  • Working remotely or in isolation; your role is visible and directly linked to student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in tasks that don't enhance speed, security, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that the campus setting is consistently safe, prepared, and conducive to learning so that students and staff can concentrate on development and achievement rather than operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or another service-intensive setting.
  • Composed under pressure; self-starting troubleshooter who can balance competing demands while maintaining precision.
  • Proficient with foundational IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Articulate, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (no visa sponsorship available).
