Outdoor Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you naturally see structure where others see disorder, Alpha will be a strong fit. Alpha serves students who advance quickly, seek challenge, and are ready for meaningful responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework so that students progress with speed and confidence. We are looking for someone who can transform a complex school day into a reliable, high-performing operation—every transition, every handoff, every element executing flawlessly.

At our Austin location, you will be the backbone that sustains momentum: protecting time for concentrated learning, maintaining safe and organized operations, and removing friction so Guides can mentor without distraction. You will oversee facility workflows, frontline technology support, and community communication, building an environment where ambition is expected and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear standards, decisive action, and measurable results, this role will suit you.

Apply to design a campus where students accelerate, families recognize the impact, and operational precision is the foundation of success.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily schedule with accuracy so that 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain uninterrupted, and conclude effectively.
  • Providing first-level technology support (device configuration, basic diagnostics) and managing escalations to IT.
  • Ensuring a secure, well-ordered campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor coordination, and facility preparedness.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues; resolving issues quickly and recording decisions.
  • Enabling campus events—onboarding, celebrations, inventory and space planning—so the site consistently feels organized.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or designing coursework; Guides own student mentorship while you manage the infrastructure.
  • Operating from a remote office; your role is campus-facing and directly influences student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-value tasks that do not enhance speed, security, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that the campus environment remains safe, prepared, and conducive so that students and staff can concentrate on learning and development, not operational distractions.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a similar service-intensive setting.
  • Composed under pressure; proactive troubleshooter who can balance competing demands without sacrificing precision.
  • Proficient with foundational IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (visa sponsorship not available).
