School Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you naturally organize chaos and create structure from complexity, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who advance quickly, seek rigorous challenge, and thrive on meaningful responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework that enables students to progress with speed and confidence. We are looking for someone who can transform a dynamic school environment into a streamlined, high-functioning operation—where every transition, every handoff, and every detail is intentional.

At our Austin location, you will be the operational backbone: protecting concentrated learning time, ensuring safe and efficient daily routines, and removing friction so Guides can dedicate their full attention to mentorship. You will manage facilities coordination, provide frontline technology support, and handle community communication, building an environment where ambition is expected and independence is cultivated. If you value clear standards, decisive action, and measurable results, this work is built for you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families recognize the impact, and operational precision quietly powers everything.

What you will be doing

  • Managing daily schedules with accuracy to ensure 2-Hour Learning blocks begin punctually, remain undisturbed, and conclude effectively.
  • Providing initial technology support (device configuration, foundational troubleshooting) and managing IT escalation workflows.
  • Overseeing a secure, well-organized campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor management, and facility preparedness.
  • Delivering clear communication to students, families, and staff; resolving issues promptly and recording key decisions.
  • Coordinating campus events—including orientations, supply logistics, and space planning—to ensure the site consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides own student mentorship while you manage operational systems.
  • Working remotely or behind the scenes; your role is visible, campus-facing, and directly connected to student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-impact tasks that do not enhance speed, safety, or the quality of the learning experience.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a campus environment that is consistently safe, prepared, and conducive to focus, allowing students and staff to prioritize learning and development rather than operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a comparable high-touch service setting.
  • Composed under pressure; self-starting problem-solver capable of balancing multiple priorities with precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication that builds trust and credibility.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (visa sponsorship not available).
