Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you instinctively build structure when you encounter disorder, this role will suit you well. Alpha serves students who advance quickly, seek challenge, and are ready for genuine responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and our focused 2-Hour Learning framework so students progress with speed and confidence. We are looking for someone who can transform a dynamic school day into a reliable, high-functioning system—every transition, every handoff, every element executed precisely.

At our Austin location, you will be the operational force that sustains momentum: protecting time for concentrated learning, maintaining safe and efficient operations, and removing barriers so Guides can mentor at maximum effectiveness. You will oversee facility workflows, front-line technical support, and community communication, building an environment where ambition is standard and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear standards, rapid decision-making, and measurable impact, this work is for you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families experience the impact, and operational precision is the foundation of everything we do.

What you will be doing

  • Executing the daily schedule with precision so 2-Hour Learning blocks begin punctually, remain distraction-free, and conclude effectively.
  • Managing front-line technical requirements (device configuration, initial troubleshooting) and coordinating escalations to IT.
  • Upholding a safe, well-ordered campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor coordination, and facility preparedness.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and team members; resolving issues quickly and recording decisions.
  • Facilitating campus events—onboarding, programming, inventory and space coordination—so the site consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides manage student mentorship while you maintain the operational infrastructure.
  • Working remotely from an administrative office; your role is campus-facing and directly influences student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-impact tasks that do not enhance speed, safety, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Ensure the campus environment remains consistently safe, prepared, and conducive so that students and staff can concentrate on learning and development rather than operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or another high-touch service setting.
  • Composed under pressure; forward-thinking problem-solver capable of balancing multiple priorities without sacrificing precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (visa sponsorship not available).
