Key responsibilities

This role exists so Alpha School can scale registrar operations across a growing campus network without sacrificing compliance, enrollment quality, or family experience.

Description

The best registrar leaders are not measured by the problems they solve. They are measured by the problems their teams never have.

At Alpha, you will own the registrar function across a rapidly growing network of schools, leading the people, systems, and operational standards that ensure enrollment, records, compliance, testing, and accreditation support scale alongside the organization.

Families need a seamless path from admissions through enrollment. School leaders need accurate records and reliable reporting. Accrediting bodies and state agencies need confidence that requirements are being met. Senior and Associate Registrars need clear processes, strong leadership, and systems that allow them to perform at a high level. You will be responsible for making all of those things true simultaneously.

This role sits at the intersection of operations, compliance, enrollment, and leadership. You will lead and develop the registrar team, serve as the escalation point for complex enrollment and compliance matters, oversee accreditation and regulatory readiness, partner with admissions and school leaders, and build the workflows, controls, and systems that allow Alpha to continue growing without sacrificing quality.

This is not a role for someone who wants to personally handle every enrollment, transcript request, or student record issue. It is for a leader who enjoys building scalable operations, developing strong teams, and creating the infrastructure that prevents problems before they occur.

If you want to own an entire function, shape how registrar operations scale across multiple campuses, and leave a lasting operational footprint on a growing school network, we want to hear from you.

Candidate requirements

  • Significant registrar leadership experience or equivalent leadership in enrollment, student records, compliance, testing, or education operations
  • Experience managing teams in registrar, enrollment, student records, compliance, testing, or education operations
  • Experience with audits, accreditation activities, state reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience implementing, administering, or improving SIS platforms and operational systems
  • Experience building or scaling operations across multiple campuses, locations, or business units
  • Demonstrated success hiring, coaching, developing, and managing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance through systems, process, or organizational changes
  • Strong communication, organization, stakeholder management, and operational leadership skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States or Canada
