Campus Director

$200,000 USD/year ^{Pay is set based on global value, not the local market. Most roles = hourly rate x 40 hrs x 50 weeks}  ($100 USD/hour)

• Launch Alpha's Springfield, MA campus: From day one, deliver Alpha's three core promises to 100+ students with operational excellence across all functions.
• Facilitate live life skills workshops with K-8 students: Lead engaging one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange. Execute Alpha's proven playbook to teach skills that traditional schools overlook while keeping students engaged and energized.
• Drive every student to reach 100% of their objectives: Develop personalized motivational strategies for each student. Apply data-driven methods to address resistance and maintain engagement with the Alpha platform. Success is defined by every student meeting their targets.
• Develop Guides through coaching and uphold Alpha's performance standards: Leverage data to pinpoint performance deficits, provide clear and actionable feedback, and monitor progress. Make difficult personnel decisions when standards are not met and model the excellence expected across your campus.
• Lead the campus using data-informed decision-making: Evaluate performance across staff effectiveness, operations, parent engagement, and campus culture. Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, engage relevant stakeholders, implement trackable solutions, and iterate based on outcomes.

• Teaching or tutoring students. Students advance through Alpha's self-directed EdTech platform, not through traditional lectures from adults.
• Designing lesson plans or curriculum. Alpha's instructional playbook is complete. Your focus is on execution and leadership, not content creation.
• Managing budgets or hiring staff. Finance and recruitment are handled centrally. Your attention remains on campus performance and culture.
• Being the subject-matter expert. This role is 80% leadership and engagement, 20% education. You motivate, the platform teaches.

Deliver Alpha's three promises at a brand-new Springfield campus from day one: every student loves school, learns twice as fast, and masters life skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field. Master's preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
• Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
• Deep knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages 5 - 14.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Passion for transforming education. Belief that the traditional system is fundamentally broken.
• Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch.
• Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention from rooms full of students or staff.
• Able to relate to K-8 students, understand their interests and culture, and serve as a positive role model.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
