What you will be doing

  • Conducting adaptive literacy workshops focused on phonics, fluency, and comprehension development
  • Creating individualized motivational interventions leveraging gamified reading benchmarks
  • Reviewing student performance data to adjust teaching strategies and identify actionable patterns
  • Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI-driven literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes
  • Building scalable, AI-integrated content that enables early elementary learners to reach grade-level reading standards

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering traditional lectures — learning occurs via self-directed AI applications rather than passive listening
  • Adhering to packaged curricula or scripted lessons — you construct original workshop designs independently
  • Instructing core academic subjects — your responsibility is reading workshops and motivational support, excluding math or science content
  • Managing behavior without purpose — each session targets specific learning goals with trackable results
  • Operating independently — you engage regularly with engineers developing the AI tools students interact with

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that each K-2 student within your assigned cohort achieves at or above grade-level reading through AI-enhanced workshops that render phonics instruction engaging, quantifiable, and enjoyable

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus either a Master's in reading instruction OR structured literacy certification (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, IMSE, CERI, LETRS, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent)
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (essential for student and family interaction)
  • 2+ years conducting small-group reading interventions with early elementary students
  • Capable of evaluating reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre-written curricula
  • Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and attentive to student engagement trends
  • Legal authorization to work in Puerto Rico without employer sponsorship
  • Commitment to on-site work in Dorado, Puerto Rico
