Family Engagement Coordinator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with a parent within moments of beginning a conversation. You will thrive here if you are motivated by outreach, reliable in your follow-through, and comfortable presenting a new educational model without depending on scripted language. If you tend to avoid phone-based communication or prefer positions that lack measurable performance indicators, this opportunity is unlikely to suit you.

Novatio School operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that serves students through a distinctive model. Core academic work is completed in a concentrated time block with AI-supported learning, allowing students to dedicate the remainder of their day to hands-on projects and enrichment that develop real-world competencies. You will serve as the first substantive contact for families considering this alternative.

Your weekly responsibilities will include responding promptly to new inquiries, facilitating families through admissions procedures, and advancing them from initial curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend local events on behalf of Novatio School to cultivate new leads and strengthen community awareness. During periods of lower enrollment activity, you will support operational functions while remaining prepared for the next enrollment cycle.

If you are seeking a position where your communication skills, follow-through, and sense of ownership have a direct influence on student enrollment outcomes, we would like to speak with you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound inquiries within 24 hours and beginning admissions discussions via phone
  • Describing Novatio School's virtual model and enrollment procedures using clear, accessible language
  • Maintaining consistent follow-up to advance families from inquiry through application to final enrollment
  • Recording all interactions in a CRM system with precise notes, next steps, and pipeline status updates
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment events in Texas or Arizona to showcase the school and generate new inquiries

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing inbound inquiries to remain unaddressed while you focus on administrative tasks
  • Relying on rigid scripts or functioning in a high-volume call center environment
  • Participating in events passively without delivering presentations or actively capturing leads
  • Devoting the majority of your time to back-office responsibilities when enrollment activity is high

Key responsibilities

Transform new family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully complete enrollment at Novatio School.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Texas or Arizona and available to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or another role involving direct customer interaction
  • Background working with children or families (schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or comparable settings)
  • At ease making regular phone calls and supporting families through multi-step procedures
  • Strong verbal communication abilities with a talent for building trust rapidly
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems or digital lead tracking platforms

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification positions
  • Experience organizing or presenting at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic coursework or professional background in communications, education, or a related discipline
