Description

NOTE: This position requires you to be physically present onsite in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Your role will involve guiding each family through their entire experience—from initial outreach to final enrollment—ensuring that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, approachability, and academic excellence. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, orchestrate impactful admissions events, and uphold meticulous applicant data that supports sound decision-making.

If you excel in dynamic, purpose-driven settings—where promptness, structure, and accuracy have a direct influence on family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role combines remote flexibility with consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Take full ownership of the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and polished responses to prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Manage and monitor digital admissions documentation with rigorous attention to accuracy

Attend and contribute to all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, whether on campus or online

Collaborate directly with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day schedules

Ensure admissions platforms, records, and follow-up workflows remain current and precise

What you will NOT be doing

  • Shape admissions strategy or render final admissions judgments
  • Function exclusively in an administrative capacity without direct family engagement
  • Work within a slow-moving, heavily bureaucratic structure
  • Prioritize rapport-building over disciplined execution and follow-through

Key responsibilities

This position ensures that a frictionless, high-conversion admissions process fuels robust enrollment and family satisfaction across all Alpha campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Proven administrative and organizational capabilities; you are dependable and meticulous
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated experience maintaining accurate applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable managing a blend of remote work and in-person campus duties
  • Able to adapt quickly and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to work in-person in either San Francisco; CA, Santa Barbara; CA or NYC; NY

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
