Campus Operations Manager   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role based at one of our campuses.

A well-run campus operates invisibly. A poorly run campus disrupts everyone. This position ensures Alpha campuses function with reliability, safety, and precision—day in and day out.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our classrooms operate at speed. Our expectations are elevated. That demands campus operations that are structured, agile, and designed for scale. This position is accountable for everything beyond the classroom that enables students and Guides to excel.

In this position, you serve as the operational foundation of the campus. You handle parent and staff communications, manage safety and security protocols, maintain facility and logistical systems, and ensure technology functions dependably for everyone on site. You respond when issues arise, identify potential problems before they grow, and introduce steady structure into fast-moving environments.

This is not a limited coordinator position. It is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who excels with responsibility, diversity of task, and execution. If you seek work where your choices directly influence student safety, staff productivity, and parent confidence, this role delivers genuine ownership and accountability.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a key point of contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver prompt, clear, and professional communication
  • Overseeing campus safety functions including entry control, health event management, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notifications
  • Managing daily campus logistics including attendance systems, transportation arrangements, facility upkeep, and office administration
  • Facilitating onboarding and training for new staff members to ensure operational preparedness from the start
  • Administering student devices and campus technology, functioning as the on-site Google Administrator and technology point person

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or influencing curriculum design
  • Functioning in a strictly administrative or narrowly defined capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced or entirely predictable setting
  • Escalating unresolved issues to others rather than taking ownership of solutions

Key responsibilities

Sustain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (area of study not specified)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with fundamental technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities across parents, staff, and external vendors
  • Capacity to juggle competing priorities while preserving attention to detail
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Must be able to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA, Chicago; IL or Fort Worth; TX
