Admissions Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You are the person families remember when choosing where to enroll their child. From initial inquiry through final enrollment decision, you define how Alpha feels, communicates, and fulfills its commitments. This role is designed for someone who understands that speed, precision, and genuine care are not competing priorities—they form the baseline.

Alpha is reimagining what school should be. Our campuses integrate academic excellence, technology-driven instruction, and a coherent philosophy that honors both students and their families. Admissions is the place where philosophy becomes practice. Families arrive curious, uncertain, and hopeful. Your responsibility is to transform doubt into clarity.

In this position, you own the admissions journey after a family expresses interest. You respond to inquiries with speed and professionalism, organize campus tours and shadow experiences, keep applicant data accurate and complete, and facilitate meaningful conversations that help parents evaluate whether Alpha aligns with their child's needs. This is not a support role hidden from view. You are visible, meticulous, and responsible for shaping how families perceive Alpha.

This is an on-campus, high-velocity position suited to someone who thrives while managing competing demands without sacrificing attention to detail or human connection. If you value flawless execution, clear communication, and building experiences that feel effortless to those you serve, this role delivers genuine ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours with communication that is clear, inviting, and consistent with Alpha's voice
  • Organizing and running admissions events, including campus tours and student shadow days
  • Keeping applicant records current and precise across admissions platforms and CRM systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to questions, and capture their input
  • Collaborating with campus staff and admissions colleagues to ensure each family progresses smoothly through the process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Making ultimate admissions or enrollment determinations
  • Delivering classroom instruction or contributing to daily teaching operations
  • Relying on aggressive sales methods or inflexible conversation templates
  • Operating in a setting where expectations, priorities, or standards are ambiguous

Key responsibilities

Create a trustworthy, high-conversion admissions journey that supports families from their first interaction to a confident decision to enroll.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail
  • Availability to work on-campus in Miami, FL, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or parent-facing programs
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
