Throughout this process, you'll develop expertise in creating workshops teenagers genuinely want to attend, operating advanced learning technology, and forging meaningful relationships with students and families. What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skill workshops for high school students covering subjects such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange, followed by mastery evaluation through a structured Test2Pass assessment
- Conducting daily motivational coaching sessions using Coachbot data to engage with individual students, diagnose learning app obstacles, and help them overcome challenges
- Collaborating with students to create personalized motivational frameworks, including reward systems and incentives that encourage autonomous progress in academic applications
- Examining curriculum materials and lesson frameworks prior to each session, then adjusting your approach based on real-time student engagement
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering academic instruction. Software manages mathematics, literacy, and all other subject areas.
- Overseeing school operations or supervising staff. No budget responsibilities, no recruitment duties, no administrative meetings; you concentrate exclusively on your student cohort.
- Enforcing discipline through conventional authority structures. No detention assignments, no suspension recommendations, no appeals to positional power. You rely on reasoning and positive reinforcement to cultivate a respectful, energized learning environment.
Key responsibilities
Develop a cohort of high school students who are passionate about school, learn at 2x the standard rate through adaptive software, and achieve mastery in practical life skills.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- 3+ years of direct experience working with high school students (ages 13-18)
- Willing to work on-site in Oklahoma City, OK (relocation support provided)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Nice to have
- Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program coordinator who has successfully motivated teenagers in non-traditional classroom settings
- Demonstrated success guiding groups toward quantifiable objectives (completion metrics, performance standards, behavioral transformation)
- Familiarity with adaptive learning systems or educational technology platforms
- Ability to tell compelling stories that capture and maintain teenage attention, delivered with cultural sensitivity and authenticity
