Accelerator Program Manager   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Traditional high schools define success by grades and standardized test scores. Founders School defines success by companies created, real-world problems tackled, and students accomplishing what most adults would deem impossible.

We seek someone capable of inspiring, pushing, and guiding ambitious teenage entrepreneurs as they launch actual businesses, harness AI technology, and pursue ambitions most people delay until well into adulthood.

If high expectations, strong ownership, and empowering exceptional young people to reach remarkable outcomes excites you, continue reading.

What you will be doing

  • Propel day-to-day execution and forward movement across your assigned student cohort using standups, coaching conversations, and accountability frameworks.
  • Lead weekly one-on-one coaching meetings and daily progress touchpoints that enable students to navigate challenges and sustain momentum.
  • Track student activity within FounderOS, detect signs of stagnation quickly, and mobilize support resources as necessary.
  • Link students to mentors, founders, operators, and growth opportunities that speed their development.
  • Facilitate workshops, events, and community programming that deepen culture and elevate performance expectations.
  • Demonstrate practical AI application and guide students in integrating AI into their operations, workflows, and strategic thinking.
  • Accompany students on 3-4 school trips annually.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering in-depth strategic business advisory as students develop their ventures. FounderOS, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, and external mentors fulfill that function.
  • Tolerating output that underperforms a student's proven capabilities.
  • Instructing traditional academic coursework. The academic platform and teaching staff manage that domain.
  • Leading workshops beyond your domain of competence.
  • Distributing generic materials or connections that fail to meet Founders School quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Establish the culture, accountability mechanisms, and support infrastructure that allow driven student founders to execute reliably, apply AI strategically, and deliver results that surpass what conventional education enables.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years in leadership positions or high-impact individual contributor capacities at startups, scaling companies, or comparably rigorous settings.
  • Comfort engaging in entrepreneurial dialogue and discernment about when to escalate to specialized expertise.
  • A standout capability beyond coaching: workshop design, event orchestration, content development, community cultivation, relationship architecture, or another equally significant skill.
  • The capacity to capture the focus of motivated teenagers and cultivate an environment they are drawn to.
  • The skill to communicate challenging feedback in ways that elevate drive and results.
  • Routine application of AI tools with concrete demonstrations of how AI enhances your output.
  • Readiness to work on-site in New York City (relocation assistance available).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Founded or co-founded a company.
  • Background coaching, mentoring, or running programs for teenagers or young adults.
  • An established network of founders, operators, investors, or advisors.
  • Early-stage startup experience where you managed multiple responsibilities and created systems from the ground up.

About Crossover

What you will learn

By year one's conclusion, you will understand each of your students intimately: their capabilities, development opportunities, drivers, and aspirations. The school will possess a culture, cadence, and benchmark for excellence. A substantial portion will reflect your influence.

As Founders School grows from New York into other cities, opportunities broaden correspondingly. This might include mentoring future program managers, contributing to new campus launches, or ultimately operating a campus as Head of School. These opportunities are earned by demonstrated results, not time served. You will also cultivate connections with founders, investors, operators, and entrepreneurial families who join the Founders School ecosystem. These relationships frequently persist well beyond the educational setting.

Work examples

  • A student begins underperforming following an initial success. You spot the trend immediately, recalibrate expectations, and guide them toward sustained execution.
  • A student hesitates before their inaugural sales conversation. You assist with preparation, practice the approach, and ensure they enter confidently.
  • A student requires a particular resource or advisor. You understand whom to engage, the strategic value, and how to structure a productive introduction.
  • A cohort loses drive during a demanding development phase. You deliver a targeted intervention that revives momentum and elevates the bar.
