Site Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Take possession of an empty building. Transform it into a fully functioning school. Hand it off on opening day. Then move to the next city and do it again. This is high-cadence project delivery. If that appeals to you, read on.

2 Hour Learning operates schools where students complete their academic curriculum in two hours daily, then devote the remainder of their day to life skills, entrepreneurship, and pursuits that traditional schooling has no room for. The results speak for themselves: students ranking in the top 1-2% nationwide, progressing at double the typical rate. None of this happens unless the campus is ready. Your role is to deliver exactly that: fully operational school sites, on schedule and within budget, throughout an expanding portfolio of micro schools, growth campuses, and flagship vertical campuses in major metropolitan areas.

Timelines are always tight. You'll move from building handoff to first day of school in weeks, not months. That requires sequencing vendor activities, monitoring dependencies on a daily basis, and leveraging AI to stay on top of every outstanding task before it turns into a bottleneck. After a campus opens, you'll transition the site to the permanent operations team and shift your attention to the next build.

You'll begin with micro-campus buildouts — the quickest, most repeatable projects in the pipeline. As the network grows to include growth and flagship sites, the scale and complexity of what you manage will grow with it.

When a school opens on schedule and students arrive on Day 1, your contribution is invisible. That's the hallmark of success in this role. Apply today via our assessment process: a cognitive evaluation followed by a practical work sample.

What you will be doing

  • Overseeing the complete buildout for each campus under your responsibility: managing FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) procurement and installation, interior construction, IT infrastructure, signage, and playspace from the moment you receive the building through opening day
  • Executing a compressed project schedule with a fixed launch date: sequencing vendor workflows, managing interdependencies, and accelerating progress wherever the timeline demands it
  • Coordinating and approving vendor deliverables: submitting scopes of work, overseeing on-site execution, inspecting against specifications, and formally rejecting work that fails to meet standards
  • Leveraging AI tools to write vendor scopes, create punch lists, track outstanding issues, and build handoff documentation — the pace of this role demands this approach
  • Implementing standardized site deployment playbooks, confirming readiness upon completion, capturing structured feedback, and organizing the handoff to the ongoing operations team

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing day-to-day facility operations once a campus is live: you transfer ownership to the permanent ops team and begin the next project
  • Executing hands-on construction or installation work: your responsibility is to direct, inspect, and approve — not to perform trades or technical work yourself
  • Handling real estate acquisition, permitting, or certificate of occupancy processes: by the time you receive the building, those steps are complete
  • Working on one project at a leisurely pace: micro-campus buildouts move quickly, and the next one is always queued up
  • Navigating ambiguous ownership or shared accountability: each buildout has a single owner from handoff to opening day

Key responsibilities

Deliver fully operational campuses on schedule and within budget, from building handoff through opening day.

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years in operations, facilities, or project delivery
  • Documented experience identifying and resolving a broken process, with a quantifiable outcome: cost reduction, time savings, or quality enhancement
  • Proven ability to own a multi-phase project from start to finish, including documented completion
  • Strong vendor management capabilities: enforce quality standards with contractors and challenge substandard work
  • Track record of managing 2 or more concurrent projects or sites without losing control of details
  • Consistent use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) to increase efficiency and maintain organization
  • Located in the US and authorized to work without visa sponsorship
  • Willing to travel 60–80% of the time (3–4 days per week)

Nice to have

  • Prior involvement in a physical buildout or site activation in any sector: retail, restaurants, healthcare, offices, or comparable environments
  • Experience in construction project management, tenant improvement, commercial fit-out, or facilities management
  • Exposure to FF&E, IT deployment, signage, or commercial interior work, even in a coordinator or support capacity
  • Familiarity with a project tracking platform (Wrike, Notion, Procore, Asana, Monday.com, or similar) for task or timeline management

About Crossover

What you will learn

  • How to execute complex buildouts on accelerated schedules: each campus launch represents a delivery cycle that most project managers need years to accumulate in other environments
  • How to advance in project complexity — micro-campus buildouts are your starting point; perform well, and the next assignment brings greater scale, more systems, more vendors, increased complexity, and additional cities
  • How to construct operational AI workflows integrated into daily project work: not a tool used sporadically, but the core system driving how scopes are written, punch lists are monitored, and handoffs are documented
  • A validated site deployment framework you'll both execute and refine — your structured field observations directly inform how future campuses are built throughout the network
